I did use my real name as I went forward in my business and the reason for me was trust. I ask my clients to give me all thier information and I felt the trust factor should go both ways.

Well, I guess I'll have to make some changes here too. Although I had some trouble with Disqus... I don't quite understand what to do there. Is it another thing to join? In any case my name is Clara Efrona.

Good point about making sure the trust factor flows both ways. Small business owners don't always think of it that way because we are also working from home and/or have small children. But at the end of the day, no one cares about that. You will either grow your business because of relationships or you will not, and it sure it easier and more natural to do that if you tell people who you are. I'm so glad you enjoy the blog and I hope you will visit again!

I love your blog on being transparent on the net and useing your real name. I pondered this as I had a bad facebook issue when I first signed up. I did use my real name as I went forward in my business and the reason for me was trust. I ask my clients to give me all thier information and I felt the trust factor should go both ways. In the end a few unwanted contacts will be the cost of doing good business for me. Thank you for great service to all of us small business owners.

Brenda Azevedo
www.justbcosmetics.com
